Events Committee Member

Description: 

Being a member of our Events Committee allows you to share your passion for trails through the planning, development, organization and execution of Trail Conference events. These fun social events are geared towards celebrating our work and spreading our mission – with the main objective of raising funds and increasing membership.

Responsibilites:

  • Help plan, organize, and execute events
    • Attend meetings
    • Generate new ideas; be an innovator and help create event content!
    • Staff events
    • Solicit sponsorship, raffle prizes, and table venders
    • Circulate interest in attendance
    • Develop invite list and hand write invites
    • Help identify interesting speakers
  • Examples of Events you'd assist in planning:
    •  National Trails Day Open house: First Saturday in June
    •  Annual Gala: Third Thursday in October

Trail Conference staff will provide all the necessary tools to aid in the solicitation of potential sponsors/vendors. If solicitation is not your forte, identifying potential sponsors for staff to follow up is also essential.  

Meetings are typically held at the Trail Conference headquarters and are currently being held remotely. Members are encouraged to engage in potential sponsors/vendors outside of the scheduled meeting time.

Time Commitment: 
2-4 hours a week. Meetings are held bi-weekly, expectation is to work remotely.
