Connect more deeply with nature as we engage in group activities that are equal parts art & science. Throughout the day, participants will be able to apply what they learn with guidance from a professional artist and wilderness guide.
Topics covered through the workshop will include, among others, Drawing nature objects, Landscape diagramming, Plant identification, Field sketching and visual storytelling, and How to continue developing a journaling habit.
There will be several Q&A sessions & ample opportunities to share your work with others. Feedback is always constructive & encouraging! Our goal is to provide the tools you need to continue Nature Journaling for years to come. There's never been a better time to learn something new!
About the instructor: James Sisti is an artist, a wilderness guide, and a drawing instructor who emphasizes a connection with nature through art. He started a company called Hike and Draw that gives lessons online and in the field. His first book, A Field Guide to Nature Journaling, will be published this spring. James will also have a solo show on exhibit at the Trail Conference's Headquarters for the entire month of May.
