Ever wonder how trails are built and restored? If you aren’t afraid to get a little dirty, this hands-on look at how great trails are made is for you!
Join our Harriman Trail Crew to get a taste of what trail building's all about.
Volunteers will assist the Harriman Crew in their continuing efforts to improve and repair trails in the western part of the park, in particular the 100 year-old Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail. Work consists of moving and using native rocks to construct stone staircases, waterbars, or step stones, tread excavation and shaping, and drainage improvements.
Connect with nature, meet great people, and make a difference. No experience is necessary!
