Conservation Dog
Lady is a big, bright personality in a small package! Born sometime around September 2019, she is a border collie Heinz 57 mix who was returned to shelters multiple times when her guardians couldn’t keep up with her demanding work energy and ball drive. Luckily, she found her place in the world, landing a job in conservation detection after getting her start at the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation. Lady enthusiastically starts every day and every search with a resounding "whooohooo" and never wants her turn to be over. But when the day’s job is done, she is just as enthusiastic about fluffing up her pillows and snuggling under blankets to fully recharge.
