Trails Overview:
The 70-acre Helyar Woods, located adjacent to Weston's Mill Pond, offers several miles of trails that traverse an old-growth oak-hickory forest which has never been logged, a wetter sweetgum and maple forest, young forests recovering from prior clearing, and open fields. Rutgers Display Gardens, adjacent to the preserve, offer walks through plantings of ornamental trees, shrubs, and flowers. Also see Rutgers Ecological Preserve [Kilmer Woods].
