Park Overview
A delicate dune environment and wildlife haven mixed with a beach playground and hiking trails
Trail Overview
Nature trails lead out to Crooke's Point and its ocean dunes. Plants in the dunes are very fragile, so hikers are requested to stay on marked trails. There is a paved multi-use path that is wheelchair accessible and open to cycling and rollerblading as well. The Staten Island Greenbelt white trail connects with the park.
Park Description
Located on Raritan Bay in Staten Island and part of the Gateway National Recreation Area, Great Kills Park offers fishing, boating, sports, swimming, and walks led by park rangers. The park is a stopping place for Monarch Butterflies on their migration to and from Mexico.
